Comcast<\/a> has launched a new quantum lab and an initiative to explore how quantum computing can improve network management and delivery. In partnership with D-Wave Quantum Inc.<\/a> and Classiq<\/a>, the company is testing how quantum could solve complex challenges that traditional computing systems have difficulty with, particularly in optimizing network performance at a massive scale.<\/p>\n The trials are designed to tackle real-world challenges like traffic management across Comcast\u2019s infrastructure. The company\u2019s quantum efforts are part of a larger initiative called \u201cProject Genesis,\u201d which aims to virtualize the network from core to home.
