Josh Hartnett<\/a> was hospitalized last Thursday after getting into a car accident in Canada. The actor was on his way home from filming an untitled Netflix series when he was struck by a Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) patrol vehicle just before 1 a.m., according to CBC News<\/a>. He had been riding as a passenger in an SUV driven by an unidentified 59-year-old man when the incident occurred.<\/p>\n

Both men were sent to the hospital with minor injuries, and the police officer involved in the crash was also sent to the hospital out of precaution. In a statement<\/a>, the RNC declared it was looking for any \u201cwitnesses or video footage\u201d of the accident involving Hartnett.<\/p>\n

According to a representative for the actor, he has since been released from the hospital and returned to work. The limited series he\u2019s currently filming is apparently about a sea creature that terrorizes a small Canadian town \u2014 Hartnett is playing a fisherman who \u201cmust fight to protect his family, his community, and his vanishing way of life,\u201d per Netflix<\/a>. The actor will also appear alongside Anne Hathaway in the film adaptation of Verity<\/a>, which is set to be released on October 2, 2026.<\/p>\n
