Commonwealth Bank says it has fixed an “issue” that affected some of its services, which had customers complaining about an outage on social media.<\/p>\n
“CommBank banking services, including payments, online access and ATMs are being restored,” the bank said in an update on its website at 12.45 pm AEST.<\/p>\n
“We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”<\/p>\n
More than two hours later, the bank said it had fixed the problem.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Why was CommBank down?<\/p>\n
Commonwealth Bank did not say what caused the problems, referring to it only as an “issue” in its statement.<\/p>\n
“Some of our services were unavailable for approximately an hour before they started being restored,” a spokesperson told the ABC.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“No branches were closed as a result of the outage.”<\/p>\n
Unhappy customers vent on social media<\/p>\n
While the bank did not post about the issue on social media, customers began commenting on previous Commonwealth Bank posts to air their grievances.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“App down again, can’t pay for petrol,” one Facebook user said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Looks like another outage,” another user said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“What is your issue with your bank today ffs I can\u2019t transfer can\u2019t see my accounts and now can\u2019t even log in mid shopping and I can\u2019t transfer anything!” another said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
