\n\tJason Hiro Kim<\/a> is going solo.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe producer and former manager has unveiled Hiro\u2019s Omakase, a new indie production company eyeing stories across Japan, Korea and the U.S. \u2014 markets where the Korean exec, who came up by way of Japan and was educated stateside, has spent years building bridges.<\/p>\n

\n\tKim\u2019s resume includes a 10-year-plus run repping talent at Lovett Management before making the jump to producing in 2020 alongside Kunal Nayyar<\/a>. The \u201cBig Bang Theory<\/a>\u201d alum brought Kim aboard to help run Good Karma Productions, where he\u2019s overseen creative for half a decade on both scripted and unscripted fare. Good Karma\u2019s pipeline includes a Nayyar-starring series being developed with Miramax.<\/p>\n

\n\tWith Kim\u2019s exit, Good Karma is elevating Logan Kovarick from director of development to VP. He\u2019ll keep tabs on the company\u2019s growing development roster.<\/p>\n

\n\tUnder the Hiro\u2019s Omakase banner, Kim plans to stay attached to select projects, including an adaptation of \u201cAngel Island: Immigrant Gateway to America\u201d by Erika Lee and Judy Yung. He\u2019s also backing the Broadway bow of \u201cThe Lost Boys\u201d and has a stake in an untitled Ketchup Entertainment feature.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m eternally grateful to Kunal for almost two decades of a wonderful working partnership,\u201d Kim said. \u201cAs I now focus my attention on this new venture, we will continue to collaborate in meaningful ways.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNayyar added: \u201cJason has been instrumental in my career for over the better part of 20 years, and it is with joy and admiration that I applaud him on his new venture.
