After heated negotiations, YouTube TV and NBC Universal have officially signed a long-term deal to continue offering NBC channels on the live service, while also expanding Peacock\u2019s reach to YouTube Primetime Channels.<\/p>\n
In a press release today,<\/a> NBC Universal confirms that it has reached an agreement with Google that will see NBC channels \u2013 including NBC, CNBC, Telemundo, USA, SyFy, and others \u2013 available for YouTube TV subscribers. <\/p>\n Details of the new agreement were not shared, but Google said that its primary issue was the rate being below that of what customers paid for access to the same content via Peacock.<\/p>\n As a part of the new deal, YouTube TV will retain NBC Universal channels while Google\u2019s other platforms will also retain access to NBC Universal content. In a new adjustment, Peacock will also be coming to YouTube Primetime Channels alongside Paramount+, HBO Max, and many other streaming options.<\/p>\n \tAdvertisement – scroll for more content<\/p>\n NBC explains \u201celements\u201d of the agreement as follows:<\/p>\n A multi-year, long-term commitment for\u00a0carriage of NBCUniversal\u2019s full portfolio of networks\u00a0on YouTube TV, including NBC, Telemundo, Bravo, CNBC, Golf Channel, E!, Oxygen True Crime, MSNBC, USA, Syfy and Universo;<\/p>\n Later this fall, NBCUniversal will be launching the new\u00a0NBC Sports Network\u00a0(NBCSN), which will be available on YouTube TV, allowing fans to enjoy a broad range of NBCUniversal\u2019s robust sports programming.
