Ms Ryan said funds would partly go towards ongoing PRAMS projects including kids activity packs for youngsters when they go to a hospital or the emergency department, and scholarships for local nursing and medical students.<\/p>\n
A big focus for the group when the hospital redevelopment opens will be improving accommodation for visiting medical staff, Ms Ryan said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to make sure medical staff are welcomed and want to call Gunnedah home,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Ms Ryan said PRAMS worked closely with hospital and community health staff, while key focuses included maternity and paediatrics.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne concern (in Gunnedah) is a lot of women are moved to Tamworth or further with their baby,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to be able to get back to caring for babies in Gunnedah.\u201d<\/p>\n
As for the golf, the winning team comprised Lachie Fleming, Shane Fleming, Tony Burtenshaw and Dan Percy with 53 points.<\/p>\n
Just half a point behind in second place was the foursome of Andrew Ceeney, Glen Pinn, Sam Gulliford and Adrian Burl.<\/p>\n
Burl won the men\u2019s straight drive while Fay Hausfeld won the ladies straight drive.<\/p>\n
Nearest-the-pin winners were Ceeney, Matt Agostino, Blake Small, Luke Johnston, Sophie Carter and Donna O\u2019Connell.<\/p>\n
