Sugar Ray Leonard<\/a> against Floyd Mayweather<\/a> is a fantasy fight that many people have predicted<\/a> and boxing legend George Foreman<\/a> is one of them.<\/p>\n

Leonard was a five-weight world champion, with the bulk of his success coming during the 1980s, where he became a member of the \u2018Four Kings\u2019 alongside fellow greats Roberto Duran, Thomas Hearns and Marvin Hagler.<\/p>\n

The quartet were all involved in fights with one another, with Leonard the only one of them to beat the other three, as he ended his career with a record of 36 wins, 3 defeats and 1 draw.<\/p>\n

One of those victories came against Floyd Mayweather Sr, but Mayweather Jr was able to vastly outperform his father\u2019s achievements, as he retired with a perfect 50-0 record after defeating some of the biggest names in the sport such as Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya and Canelo Alvarez.<\/p>\n

Just like Leonard, Mayweather became a five-weight world champion, and before heavyweight icon Foreman sadly passed away<\/a> he once shared his verdict on who would have come out on top between the two men.<\/p>\n

Speaking during a fans forum<\/a>, Foreman revealed that if both fighters were in their prime, he\u2019d have sided with Leonard.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt took years for Floyd Mayweather to achieve such greatness. Prime versus prime (I\u2019d go for Sugar Ray) Leonard. But (if it was a ) veteran versus veteran (fight, I\u2019d go for Floyd) Mayweather.\u201d<\/p>\n
