{"id":189636,"date":"2025-10-04T13:20:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-04T13:20:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/189636\/"},"modified":"2025-10-04T13:20:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-04T13:20:07","slug":"2025-crows-club-champion-every-award-winner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/189636\/","title":{"rendered":"2025 Crows Club Champion: Every award winner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Adelaide Captain Jordan Dawson capped a standout 2025 AFL campaign by winning a third-straight Malcolm Blight Medal.<\/p>\n<p>Dawson became the first Crow to win the Club\u2019s highest individual honour three years in a row when he was awarded the medal at Adelaide\u2019s Club Champion award on Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>In 2025, the 28-year-old averaged career best returns in contested possessions (9.5), clearances (4.4) and pressure acts (21.8).<\/p>\n<p>Dawson amassed more than 20 disposals in 20 out of the 25 games he lined up in, and recorded 30-plus possessions in two matches &#8211; Round Two against Essendon and Round Four against Gold Coast.<\/p>\n<p>Forward Izak Rankine led the count after round six with 40 votes, in front of Ben Keays (39) and Dawson (37).<\/p>\n<p>Dawson then jumped ahead, to sit on 67 votes at the end of Round 11 in front of Riley Thilthorpe and Rankine, (63 votes apiece).<\/p>\n<p>The Skipper never looked back and led from then onwards to claim a third-straight gold jacket.<\/p>\n<p>Here is every award winner from our 2025 Club Champion night.<\/p>\n<p>Members\u2019 MVP Award &#8211; Jordan Dawson<\/p>\n<p>Jordan Dawson was not only recognised by the coaches for his outstanding season, but also by the Crows&#8217; Members.<\/p>\n<p>Members have voted on their MVP of the season every year since 1998 and it is the second time Dawson has won the award, having claimed it in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Brian Sando OAM Trophy &#8211; Ben Keays<\/p>\n<p>Crows forward Ben Keays was once again recognised for his professionalism and preparation to play at the highest level.<\/p>\n<p>The award was introduced in 2012 to honour the memory of long-serving Crows doctor and life member Brian Sando OAM.<\/p>\n<p>It is the third time Keays has claimed the accolade, having won the award in 2022 and 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Bickley Emerging Talent Award &#8211; Dan Curtin\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Young star Dan Curtin was rewarded for a breakout season with the Mark Bickley Emerging Talent Award.<\/p>\n<p>Curtin, who was in his second AFL season at the Crows, lined up in every game this season, including Adelaide\u2019s two finals.<\/p>\n<p>The utility, who also swung forward at times during the season, averaged 13.2 disposals across 23 games, having claimed 26 disposals on two occasions (R6 v Richmond, and R18 v the Bulldogs).<\/p>\n<p>Curtin received a Rising Star nomination in Round 13, and finished runner-up in the award, polling 35 votes in the League-wide award, behind Fremantle\u2019s Murphy Reid, who topped the count with 49.<\/p>\n<p>Crows Foundation Community Award &#8211; Nick Murray<\/p>\n<p>Defender Nick Murray took home the Crows Foundation Community Award.<\/p>\n<p>It was Murray\u2019s first time winning the award and he was recognised for his advocacy in drought support for South Australian farmers.<\/p>\n<p>The 24-year-old led the Drought Support Program, which delivered community based activations in three heavily impacted regions; Murray Bridge, Clare and Mannum.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>These areas were selected for their deep exposure to drought and their distance from traditional AFL community initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>More than 1800 community members participated in events that went far beyond sport, including football clinics, BBQs, informal meet-and-greets with players, and had access to wellbeing support delivered through local service providers.<\/p>\n<p>Leading Goal Kicker \u2013 Riley Thilthorpe<\/p>\n<p>Forward Riley Thilthorpe was crowned Adelaide\u2019s 2025 leading goal kicker for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>The 23-year-old produced a career-best campaign, kicking 60 goals across 25 games.<\/p>\n<p>Adelaide\u2019s top pick from the 2020 National Draft recorded career-high averages in goals (2.4), disposals (13.7), marks (5.7) and hit-outs (6.4).<\/p>\n<p>He also booted six goals in Round 18 against Western Bulldogs, as well five-goal hauls in rounds four against Gold Coast, and 16 against Richmond.<\/p>\n<p>Players Trademark \u2013 Jordan Dawson<\/p>\n<p>Adelaide Skipper Jordan Dawson claimed the Players\u2019 Trademark Award for a third consecutive year.<\/p>\n<p>The Award is voted on by the players and coaches, and is presented to the person who best embodied the players&#8217; trademark throughout the season.<\/p>\n<p>It is another accolade for Dawson, who also won a third Malcolm Blight Medal, as well as the Member\u2019s MVP.<\/p>\n<p>Phil Walsh Best Team Man \u2013 Alex Neal-Bullen<\/p>\n<p>Adelaide forward Alex Neal-Bullen was awarded the Phil Walsh Best Team Man.<\/p>\n<p>The Best Team Man Award has been presented every year since the Club\u2019s inaugural season.<\/p>\n<p>It was renamed in 2015 in honour of the late Crows coach and recognises the Club\u2019s most selfless player who lives and breathes \u2018team-first\u2019 &#8211; a staple mantra of Walsh.<\/p>\n<p>SANFL Club Champion \u2013 Chris Burgess<\/p>\n<p>Chris Burgess was named the Crows\u2019 SANFL Club Champion on Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>Burgess was instrumental in Adelaide\u2019s campaign, playing 18 games, including the Crows\u2019 State League finals series, and booting 56 goals.<\/p>\n<p>The 29-year-old kicked a seven-goal haul against North Adelaide in Round 11, as well as four goals in five separate matches.<\/p>\n<p>Burgess also averaged 11.96 disposals and 5.4 marks in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Dean Bailey Award \u2013 Jay Boyle<\/p>\n<p>Crows development player Jay Boyle claimed the 2025 Dean Bailey Award, winning it for a third time.<\/p>\n<p>The Dean Bailey Award is judged on performance, dedication to training and overall commitment to the team.<\/p>\n<p>Boyle featured in 20 SANFL games for the Crows this year, and averaged 15.6 possessions, 5.6 tackles, and three clearances.<\/p>\n<p>The 27-year-old previously claimed back-to-back Dean Bailey Awards in 2021 and 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Adelaide AFL Best and Fairest, Top 10:<\/p>\n<p>Jordan Dawson, 149<br \/>\nRiley Thilthorpe, 143<br \/>\nJosh Worrell, 138<br \/>\nBen Keays, 137<br \/>\nAlex Neal-Bullen, 135<br \/>\nIzak Rankine, 133<br \/>\nMark Keane, 133<br \/>\nRory Laird, 117<br \/>\nJake Soligo, 116<br \/>\nReilly O\u2019Brien, 115<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Adelaide Captain Jordan Dawson capped a standout 2025 AFL campaign by winning a third-straight Malcolm Blight Medal.
