Julia Roberts<\/a> may not be afraid of the dark \u2014 but one actor still gave her chills.<\/p>\n

Audiences fell in love with Roberts in the 1990s with the film \u201cPretty Woman,\u201d and now she\u2019s returning to the screen in the crime drama \u201cAfter the Hunt.\u201d But one of her co-stars in the film genuinely \u201cscared\u201d her.<\/p>\n

The movie, which stars Ayo Edebiri and Andrew Garfield and is directed by Luca Guadagnino, was the topic of discussion during a recent appearance on \u201cThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert.\u201d<\/a> However, Colbert steered the conversation in a different direction, asking about a cast member he\u2019d heard genuinely \u201cintimated\u201d Roberts.<\/p>\n

Roberts revealed it was \u201cthe fabulous Chlo\u00eb Sevigny, who I had never met before and Ayo had never met before, and Luca has worked with a number of times because she\u2019s fabulous.\u201d<\/p>\n

The moment of fear came during a rehearsal at Roberts\u2019 home.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were all rehearsing at my house, which was a joy and a privilege. And one afternoon we were rehearsing, we were at the kitchen table, and, you know, we\u2019re really grinding it out \u2014 not really, we had our heads down, let\u2019s just say \u2014 and the producer came in from the living room and he said, \u2018Oh, Chlo\u00eb should be here any minute,\u2019\u201d she recounted.<\/p>\n

Roberts turned to Edebiri and said, \u201cI\u2019m scared.\u201d<\/p>\n

Edebiri wasn\u2019t the only one who shared in her reaction. Roberts\u2019 daughter was also nervous about meeting the actor and politely excused herself from the scene.<\/p>\n

Guadagnino, on the other hand, couldn\u2019t quite grasp the moment. During the interview, Roberts emphasized that Sevigny is \u201cexceptional,\u201d suggesting her reputation alone was enough to inspire fear.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Roberts says she opened the door to Sevigny after trying to make herself \u201cfetching, and appealing,\u201d and let out a nervous \u201chi.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Attempting to shift the narrative, Colbert asked, \u201cMaybe she\u2019s intimidated by you?\u201d<\/p>\n

To which Roberts jokingly responded, \u201cI think she was thinking, \u2018This is where you live?\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
