If you\u2019ve been wondering why Bill Murray<\/a> has been spotted in every pub in Ireland recently, wonder no more: the US star and noted golf<\/a> lover has been busy filming a new series for the BBC.<\/p>\n

Described as \u201ca love letter to both the game and the place that shaped the Murray clan\u201d, Off Course is a six-part travelogue which follows the Illinois-born Ghostbusters<\/a> and Caddyshack<\/a> star as he takes on some of Ireland\u2019s most iconic golf courses.<\/p>\n

The synopsis reads: \u201cWildly original, unpredictable and profoundly funny, this 6 x 30 minute series follows Murray and friends across some of the island\u2019s most breath-taking fairways.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut this is no ordinary golf show \u2013 it\u2019s about life, chance encounters and the joy of going gloriously off course.<\/p>\n

Off Course will be shown on BBC Two, BBC One Northern Ireland and BBC iPlayer.
