NASHVILLE, Tenn. \u2013 After two rigorous days of play in the 2025 Horizon League Individual Championships, which are being hosted by the Belmont University men’s tennis program, the Bruins have two players in Sunday’s noon singles final. Top-seeded Sabi Roi<\/a> will face junior Stefan Vedovelli<\/a> at the Beaman Family Tennis Complex in the league’s singles championship match. #ItsBruinTime

\nThe winner of Sunday’s Horizon League singles and doubles titles will receive an automatic berth into the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Conference Masters Championships, which will be held Nov. 6-9 in San Diego.

\nBelmont is the defending Horizon League team champion after winning the 2025 Horizon League Championship this past April. Fittingley, Roi clinched the title match versus Cleveland State at No. 3 singles, while Vedovelli picked up a crucial point with a win at No. 5 singles.

\nA trio of Bruins had impressive singles victories Saturday on the second day of the Horizon League Individual Championships. Winning the longest match of the day, freshman Austin Yack<\/a> gutted out a strenuous three-set affair to upset second-seeded Lincoln Battle of Cleveland State in the quarterfinals.
\n\u00a0
\nPlaying three tiebreakers, Yack recovered from an 8-6 opening set tiebreak with consecutive 7-2 breakers in the second and third sets.
\n\u00a0
\nPrior to Yack’s triumph, Vedovelli outlasted Youngstown State’s Matteo Ceradelli, also in the quarterfinals. Despite dropping the first set, 6-4, Vedovelli battled back to win the second and third sets, 6-3 and 7-5.
\n\u00a0
\nIn the semifinals, senior Roi took out third-seeded Taj Hibbert of Tennessee State, who had gotten past sixth-seeded Charlie Robin<\/a> in three sets in the quarterfinals. Pulling out a 7-4 tiebreaker in the first set, Roi bounced back from a 6-4 second set loss with a convincing 6-3 win in the third set.

\nIn the other semifinal, Yack had to withdraw, giving Vedovelli a spot in Sunday’s final versus Roi.
\n\u00a0
\nIn Saturday’s main draw doubles action, the tandem of Roi and Vedovelli defeated Indiana University Indianapolis’ Brandon Pham and Eli Mercer 8-5 in the quarterfinals.
\n\u00a0
\nDoubles semifinals will begin Sunday’s play at 9 a.m. followed by the doubles final at 10:30 a.m.

\nRoi and Vedovelli will take on the Penguins’ Alexis Maulouet and Rafael Le Fur in the doubles semis.
