A former NFL quarterback and Fox Sports analyst has been arrested after being stabbed early Saturday morning.<\/p>\n
[DOWNLOAD: Free WHIO-TV News app for alerts as news breaks<\/a>]<\/p>\n The Indianapolis Metro Police Department (IMPD) wrote in a social media post<\/a> on Saturday that Mark Sanchez, 38, was arrested \u201cfor his alleged role in this incident.\u201d<\/p>\n He is still in the hospital after TMZ previously reported<\/a> that he had been stabbed early Saturday.<\/p>\n Sanchez has not been booked, according to IMPD.<\/p>\n TRENDING STORIES:<\/p>\n Sanchez was in Indianapolis this weekend to broadcast the Colts and Raiders game at Lucas Oil Stadium, TMZ and ESPN reported. <\/p>\n \u201cSanchez was arrested at the hospital for battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, and public intoxication, all of which are misdemeanors,\u201d said IMPD. \u201cAll involved parties have been identified, and no further individuals are being sought by detectives.\u201d<\/p>\n IMPD said the Marion County Prosecutor\u2019s Office will make the final decision on charges.<\/p>\n Sanchez played eight seasons in the NFL and was selected 5th overall by the New York Jets in 2009, according to ESPN. <\/p>\n His final regular-season game was in 2018.<\/p>\n Sanchez also played for the Eagles, Cowboys, and Commanders.<\/p>\n News Center 7 will continue to follow this story.<\/p>\n -INITIAL STORY-<\/p>\n A former NFL quarterback and Fox Sports analyst was stabbed early Saturday morning. <\/p>\n [DOWNLOAD: Free WHIO-TV News app for alerts as news breaks<\/a>]<\/p>\n Mark Sanchez was hospitalized after a stabbing in Indianapolis, according to TMZ<\/a> and ESPN<\/a>. <\/p>\n TRENDING STORIES:<\/p>\n Sanchez is in stable condition and continues to recover.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support.
