Potentially\u00a0life-saving interventions may be used inconsistently or deployed late because of delayed\u00a0diagnosis of PPH. Current normative guidance is fragmented and, at times, contradictory\u00a0across international guidelines, contributing to low uptake of evidence-based interventions.\u00a0Comprehensive normative guidance that addresses these health system\u00a0challenges can significantly enhance the global response to PPH and help reduce maternal\u00a0mortality and morbidity.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>These consolidated guidelines focus on the care of women during pregnancy, childbirth and the immediate postpartum period in any health care setting.
