Hulu sped up the clock on the Shlorpians\u2019 time on Earth, in both their universe and ours. \u201cAfter some setbacks, it\u2019s possible to finish our mission in about 20 years,\u201d Korvo (Dan Stevens) says in the new season six<\/a> trailer, to which Terry (Thomas Middleditch) responds, \u201cOh, the Hulu science monitor just announced this is our final season!\u201d The real Hulu made the same call<\/a> earlier this year. (Disney also gets a few explicit shout-outs, in case you forgot where the money was coming from.) But despite the show\u2019s impending liftoff, there are still plenty of humiliations in store\u2014for both the show\u2019s central aliens and, it would seem, planet Earth at large. The former have to deal with perhaps their greatest challenge yet: being broke. Their diamond making machine is destroyed and they have no idea how to live a thrifty lifestyle. At least Yumyulack (Sean Giambrone) seems to have some semblance of a plan. He\u2019s been committing healthcare fraud, and he has the paper trail to prove it.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a \u201cthrilling and shocking conclusion\u201d in store for the shrunken people living in Yumyulack\u2019s wall as well, per the season\u2019s logline. It seems an escape plan has been brewing. Oh, and the Earth; things aren\u2019t looking great on that front, either. The Shlorpians\u2019 beloved new home is overdue for a \u201cpurge,\u201d but not if they have anything to say about it. \u201cThis has gone too far,\u201d Korvo says. \u201cWe\u2019re going to save the world!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, you can also expect more \u201cridiculous alien family antics, a resolution for the nefarious Silvercops\u2026 and a bunch of ROMANTASY\u00ae,\u201d as executive producers Mike McMahan and Josh Bycel told IGN<\/a>. \u201cSolar has always been an experimentation of how deep, weird, loving and funny an adult animated family show can get. This time, our biggest challenge was wrapping up six perfect seasons in a perfect way. Which we did. You\u2019re welcome.\u201d<\/p>\n
