KENNER, La (press release) \u2013\u00a0On Friday, Oct. 24, supporters, survivors and community members will gather at Chateau Golf & Country Club for the 2nd Annual Golf Tournament benefiting the\u00a0Karen T. Stall Research + Breast Institute\u00a0(KTSRBI). The event pairs a day of golf with the mission of advancing breast cancer research and providing critical support for patients in the Gulf Coast region.<\/p>\n
The tournament will feature two flights, one at 7:30 a.m. and another at 1:30 p.m., with participants enjoying friendly competition, food, drinks, raffles and contests. Each golfer will also receive a commemorative gift. <\/p>\n

That\u2019s what makes the day so meaningful.\u201d<\/p>\n KTSRBI was founded by Karen T. Stall, a 24-year breast cancer survivor, who launched the nonprofit after experiencing firsthand the financial and emotional toll of treatment. Today, nearly all funds raised stay in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast, ensuring that the impact directly benefits local families.<\/p>\n Event Information<\/p>\n When:\u00a0Friday, Oct. 24 Golfers will also have the chance to compete in contests such as Longest Drive, Closest to the Hole, and raffles featuring electronics and other prizes.<\/p>\n Funds raised through the tournament will support KTSRBI\u2019s ongoing mission: expanding access to advanced 3D mammography and Tomosynthesis, offering grants for patients in active treatment, and continuing statewide advocacy efforts through partnerships with the Cancer Advocacy Group of Louisiana, the Rich Mauti Cancer Fund, the Al Copeland Foundation, Ochsner Health, Tulane Medical Center, and University Medical Center New Orleans.<\/p>\n
