Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca<\/a>\u00a0has launched a pioneering AI-powered early warning weather system that monitors environmental conditions in real time. <\/p>\n

SATGOLF technology enables the award-winning 63-hole resort to anticipate extreme weather events and optimise irrigation across its golf courses.<\/p>\n

Co-financed by the European Union\u2019s\u00a0NextGenerationEU<\/a>\u00a0programme, the \u20ac150,000 subsidised investment reinforces Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca\u2019s position as one of Europe\u2019s most environmentally responsible golf destinations and leader in sustainable golf tourism.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0SATGOLF\u00a0system integrates advanced climate sensors, smart cameras, artificial intelligence and predictive algorithms to monitor key environmental variables such as heavy rainfall, strong winds, lightning activity and soil moisture.<\/p>\n

Bernat Llobera, Director of Golf at Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca, commented: \u201cImplementing the new SATGOLF\u00a0AI-powered technology represents a major step forward in how we manage and irrigate our golf courses. The real-time data on rainfall and soil humidity allows our greenkeeping team to plan and target irrigation, reducing water consumption while ensuring premium playing conditions.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn addition to precise irrigation management, the\u00a0SATGOLF\u00a0system also allows for resource optimisation and generates public value by monitoring climate change and water stress on the island. SATGOLF\u00a0is the latest innovation in Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca\u2019s\u00a0Green Evolution<\/a>\u00a0strategy, a long-term sustainability programme focused on water management, energy consumption, environmental protection and responsible resource use, fully aligned with United Nations\u2019 Sustainable Development Goals .<\/p>\n

Across its 63-holes of golf and three clubhouses, Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca has already achieved:<\/p>\n

100% use of reclaimed and regenerated water for irrigation (reuse of 820,000 m\u00b3 of regenerated water in 2024)<\/p>\n

Substitution of chemicals for organic phytosanitary products<\/p>\n

Golf Son Muntaner was Europe\u2019s first golf course to adopt Celebration Bermudagrass, a drought-tolerant turf that dramatically reduces water requirements while maintaining premium playability<\/p>\n

Organic vegetable garden and production of sustainable, zero-kilometre \u201cNa Capitana\u201d products: almonds, olives, capers, honey, olive oil and gin<\/p>\n

Extensive biodiversity initiatives, including on-site bee colonies, native tree planting and habitat conservation<\/p>\n

Elimination of single-use plastic bottles, replaced with reverse osmosis water refill stations<\/p>\n

Consumption of 100% green energy, exclusively from renewable sources<\/p>\n

Installation of photovoltaic panels and electric car charging points at Golf Son Muntaner to generate clean energy<\/p>\n

Use of 100% electric buggy fleet and hybrid machinery<\/p>\n
