Josh Hartnett<\/a> was a passenger in an SUV that collided with a Canadian police car last week, prompting the actor\u2019s hospitalization, People reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A Royal Newfoundland Constabulary patrol vehicle reportedly struck Hartnett\u2019s ride in St. John\u2019s during the wee hours on Thursday, according to CBC News<\/a>. The collision caused \u201csignificant damage\u201d to both vehicles, the RNC said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 47-year-old \u201cBlack Hawk Down\u201d star, who recently appeared<\/a> on the hit series \u201cThe Bear,\u201d was taken to a local hospital and later released. He got the OK to return to work, a rep told Deadline,<\/a> and the filming schedule was not interrupted.<\/p>\n

The driver, 59, also had \u201cminor injuries\u201d and the male officer in the police vehicle was sent to the hospital as a precaution, police said in the release. The RNC asked for help with information about the crash.<\/p>\n
