The official start of the 2025 Free Agency and Trade Period has begun, with plenty of stars of the competition set to join rival clubs.<\/p>\n

Here is every move for the third day of the Trade and Free Agency period…<\/p>\n

Eagles open to trading top pick<\/p>\n

The Eagles say they are “unlikely” to trade Pick 1, but are more than willing to listen to offers if they come.<\/p>\n

West Coast will have a strong hand in next month’s National Draft, currently holding Picks 1, 16, 22, 23, 37 and 57<\/a>, and will acquire Pick 2 as Oscar Allen<\/a> compensation.<\/p>\n

Their hand was enhanced by the AFL’s assistance package,<\/a> which netted the Western Australian club with Pick 19 (now 22) and four extra rookie list spots.<\/p>\n

However, there’s a minor hold-up regarding the Brandon Starcevich<\/a> move, which is heading towards a trade that will land the Brisbane premiership defender.<\/p>\n

But that won’t stop the Eagles from considering a major draft shake-up.<\/p>\n

“At this stage, we’d be unlikely to trade pick one, but you never know,” Eagles list boss Matt Clarke said, according to\u00a0AFL Media.<\/p>\n

“If there’s some clubs that want to move up and might have multiple picks, we’ll have a look at it.<\/p>\n

“Our recruiting team will do their (draft) ratings again this week, and we’ll see what that looks like.”<\/p>\n

Suns forward moves to Sydney<\/p>\n

Gold Coast and Sydney have completed a trade that will see Malcolm Rosas<\/a> Jr join the Swans in 2026.<\/p>\n

The Suns will receive Picks 51 and 69, but send Rosas and Pick 69 to New South Wales.<\/p>\n

Sydney has secured a trade for Malcolm Rosas jnr.<\/p>\n

The two clubs have agreed a deal that will see Sydney land Rosas and Pick 62, while Gold Coast will receive Picks 51 and 69. Set to be finalised shortly. @AFLcomau<\/a> @traderadio<\/a><\/p>\n

St Kilda, Gold Coast agree on Flanders deal<\/p>\n

Sam Flanders<\/a> is heading to Moorabbin after Gold Coast agreed to send him to the Saints for St Kilda’s Pick 7 in the 2025 National Draft.<\/p>\n

It’s a selection which will likely be a central element in the looming Christian Petracca<\/a> trade with Melbourne, with Gold Coast’s draft hand now including a whopping four first-round selections.<\/p>\n

Flanders, who is contracted until the end of 2027, was tossing up between the Saints, Essendon, Melbourne and Carlton as his preferred new home, but St Kilda’s five-year deal worth around $900,000 a season to the 24-year-old won him over.<\/p>\n

Sam Flanders’ trade to St Kilda is agreed. Pick 7 to head to the Suns. Could go through as early as today, but more likely on Wednesday. <\/p>\n

Liam Reidy becomes a Blue<\/p>\n

Carlton and Fremantle have lodged the paperwork for an agreed upon deal which will send Dockers ruckman Liam Reidy<\/a> to the Blues, granting him his desired trade request.<\/p>\n

Fremantle are sending Reidy and Picks 53 and 71 to the Blues and will receive Picks 50 and 68 from Carlton, according to\u00a0AFL Media’s\u00a0Riley Beveridge.<\/p>\n

Fremantle will be happy to offer Melbourne a second-round pick for dashing defender\u00a0Judd McVee<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Dockers see McVee playing across half back, helping turn defence into attack alongside\u00a0Jordan Clark<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Heath Chapman<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“We’ve had some early chats with Melbourne, but still plenty to play out. I don’t think our picks line up with what his value is, so we’ll look to move around and shuffle, and come to a deal that everyone is happy with,” Fremantle’s Head of Player Personnel David Walls said.<\/p>\n

Fremantle’s current draft hand (Picks 12, 33, 44, 53 and 71<\/a>) are not deemed suitable in the eyes of Walls for McVee.<\/p>\n

“Still needs to play out, and what happens to the compensation picks,” he added.<\/p>\n

“I think he’s a second-round pick, Judd.”<\/p>\n

Bulldogs “open-minded” regarding Ugle-Hagan trade<\/p>\n

Western Bulldogs<\/a>\u00a0list boss Sam Power insists no trade request from troubled former number one draft pick\u00a0Jamarra Ugle-Hagan<\/a>\u00a0has come across his desk, but that the club will be ‘open-minded’, should that change.<\/p>\n

Ugle-Hagan met with the\u00a0Gold Coast Suns<\/a>\u00a0last week in an effort to re-ignite his playing career away from the Whitten Oval. Power, however, remains adamant no communication from the Ugle-Hagan camp has been forthcoming regarding a potential move.<\/p>\n

“We haven’t had any dialogue; Jamarra hasn’t requested a trade,” he said.<\/p>\n

“The club keeps in contact – he’s a\u00a0Western Bulldogs<\/a>\u00a0player and we have great care for our players and staff. There’s regular communications through different people, mostly around care.<\/p>\n

“We’ve seen the interest that’s there, but at this stage, he hasn’t requested the trade.”<\/p>\n

Sydney Swans<\/a>\u00a0Head of List Strategy and Player Personnel Chris Keane has admitted the club has been “caught off guard” by young forward Jack Buller’s supposed desire to be traded to Collingwood, as well as Will Hayward’s openness to being involved in a\u00a0Charlie Curnow<\/a>\u00a0trade.<\/p>\n

Buller informed Collingwood he wishes to join the club after two-and-a-half years and 10 games at the Swans, with the Magpies looking to replace\u00a0Brody Mihocek<\/a>, who is likely to depart to Melbourne via a trade.<\/p>\n

“Jack caught us off guard a bit. We had no indication he was looking at a move,” Keane told\u00a0AFL Trade Radio\u00a0on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

“We understand his intention is to get to Collingwood. We will see how that one goes throughout this period.<\/p>\n

“We did everything we could have, and we had a compelling offer on the table. We are disappointed about it.<\/p>\n

“Will Hayward<\/a> is contracted for 4 more years, and he will see out that contract. There is not much in those rumours to be honest.”<\/p>\n
