{"id":194517,"date":"2025-10-07T02:29:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-07T02:29:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/194517\/"},"modified":"2025-10-07T02:29:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-07T02:29:12","slug":"suns-pair-traded-eagles-open-to-moving-top-pick-afl-trade-and-free-agency-day-3-afl-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/194517\/","title":{"rendered":"Suns pair traded, Eagles open to moving top pick: AFL Trade and Free Agency Day 3 &#8211; AFL News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohanger.com\/games-centre\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"305\" height=\"40\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=\" http:=\"\" style=\"float:right;\" class=\"play-games-banner\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/1752988028_499_ZeroHanger_GamesCentre.png.webp.webp\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The official start of the 2025 Free Agency and Trade Period has begun, with plenty of stars of the competition set to join rival clubs.<\/p>\n<p>Here is every move for the third day of the Trade and Free Agency period&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Eagles open to trading top pick<\/p>\n<p>The Eagles say they are &#8220;unlikely&#8221; to trade Pick 1, but are more than willing to listen to offers if they come.<\/p>\n<p>West Coast will have a strong hand in next month&#8217;s National Draft, currently holding <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohanger.com\/afl\/afl-draft-order-2025\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Picks 1, 16, 22, 23, 37 and 57<\/a>, and will acquire Pick 2 as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohanger.com\/afl\/players\/oscar-allen\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Oscar Allen<\/a> compensation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohanger.com\/the-afl-confirms-west-coast-assistance-package-details-169229\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Their hand was enhanced by the AFL&#8217;s assistance package,<\/a> which netted the Western Australian club with Pick 19 (now 22) and four extra rookie list spots.<\/p>\n<p>However, there&#8217;s a minor hold-up regarding the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohanger.com\/afl\/players\/brandon-starcevich\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Brandon Starcevich<\/a> move, which is heading towards a trade that will land the Brisbane premiership defender.<\/p>\n<p>But that won&#8217;t stop the Eagles from considering a major draft shake-up.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;At this stage, we&#8217;d be unlikely to trade pick one, but you never know,&#8221; Eagles list boss Matt Clarke said, according to\u00a0AFL Media.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If there&#8217;s some clubs that want to move up and might have multiple picks, we&#8217;ll have a look at it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our recruiting team will do their (draft) ratings again this week, and we&#8217;ll see what that looks like.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Suns forward moves to Sydney<\/p>\n<p>Gold Coast and Sydney have completed a trade that will see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohanger.com\/afl\/players\/malcolm-rosas\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Malcolm Rosas<\/a> Jr join the Swans in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The Suns will receive Picks 51 and 69, but send Rosas and Pick 69 to New South Wales.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Sydney has secured a trade for Malcolm Rosas jnr.<\/p>\n<p>The two clubs have agreed a deal that will see Sydney land Rosas and Pick 62, while Gold Coast will receive Picks 51 and 69. Pick 7 to head to the Suns. Power, however, remains adamant no communication from the Ugle-Hagan camp has been forthcoming regarding a potential move.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We haven&#8217;t had any dialogue; Jamarra hasn&#8217;t requested a trade,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The club keeps in contact &#8211; he&#8217;s a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohanger.com\/afl\/teams\/western-bulldogs\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Western Bulldogs<\/a>\u00a0player and we have great care for our players and staff. We had no indication he was looking at a move,&#8221; Keane told\u00a0AFL Trade Radio\u00a0on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We understand his intention is to get to Collingwood. We will see how that one goes throughout this period.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We did everything we could have, and we had a compelling offer on the table. We are disappointed about it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohanger.com\/afl\/players\/will-hayward\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Will Hayward<\/a> is contracted for 4 more years, and he will see out that contract.
