WATCH Iga Swiatek clash with reporter in bizarre US Open row 3<\/p>\n Swiatek is concerned with the scheduling across the tennis calendarCredit: Getty<\/p>\n Like the men’s ATP circuit, the events span from Grand Slams to other tournaments that award ranking points throughout the year.<\/p>\n However, there are increasing concerns over the amount of matches being played across the calendar, with Swiatek<\/a> vocal in her criticism.<\/p>\n WTA rules state that top players must play the four Grand Slams, ten WTA 1000 and six WTA 500 events.<\/p>\n But Swiatek, who is into the China Open<\/a> fourth round after Camila Osorio retired with injury, is concerned with the workload.<\/p>\n “I think people are more fatigued,” said<\/a> the women’s world no. 2 and 2025 Wimbledon champion<\/a> said to reporters via Reuters.<\/p>\n “Unfortunately, the Asian Swing is the hardest part because you feel like the season is going to finish soon, but you still need to push.<\/p>\n “I don’t know yet how my career is going to look like in a couple years. <\/p>\n “Maybe I will have to choose some tournaments and skip them, even though they are mandatory. <\/p>\n “The WTA, with these mandatory rules, they made this pretty crazy for us.”<\/p>\n Speaking on the WTA rules, the six-time Grand Slam winner added: “I don’t think any top player will actually be able to achieve this…<\/p>\n 3<\/p>\n Swiatek risks fines or ranking points penalties for missing tournamentsCredit: Getty<\/p>\n “It’s impossible to squeeze it in the schedule.<\/p>\n “We have to be smart about it, not really unfortunately care about the rules and think what’s healthy for us.
