At 37 years old, Stephen Curry remains one of the NBA\u2019s most electric stars, still putting up elite numbers, still bending defenses with his gravity, and still showing no signs of slowing down. But even the Golden State Warriors icon admits the end is inching closer.<\/p>\n
Curry was asked the question every basketball fan has wondered: when does he plan to call it a career? His response was as candid as ever, in a recent interview with Malika Andrews of ESPN<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cNo clue. I just know it\u2019s closer than it was even yesterday,\u201d Curry said. \u201cAcknowledging it is fun, because the more I talk about it, the more I appreciate what all goes into preparing yourself. But all of that stuff is just the privilege that you\u2019ve earned. I\u2019m trying not to put any timestamps or anything, other than the sense of urgency on it now.\u201d<\/p>\n Curry, who is entering his 16th NBA season, still looks every bit the part of a superstar. Last year, he averaged 24.5 points and six assists per game, earning both All-NBA and All-Star honors while finishing inside the top ten in MVP voting. His movement, shooting, and off-ball brilliance continue to anchor the Warriors\u2019 offense, and their relevance.<\/p>\n Curry has two years left on his current deal, and much like Kevin Durant, he\u2019ll be eligible for an extension next offseason.
