The ‘Queen of Christmas<\/a>‘ may be giving another gift to the world.<\/p>\n

Mariah Carey<\/a> – who recently put on a racy display in skimpy hotpants <\/a>–\u00a0 revealed that her 14-year-old daughter Monroe may be blazing her own path with a career in music.<\/p>\n

The 56-year-old songstress appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/a> as she said her only daughter may be jumping into to music industry.<\/p>\n

She explained: ‘My daughter’s into music, and she likes music.<\/p>\n

‘She used to sing with me on my Christmas tour, but I don’t know if she’s doing it this year.’<\/p>\n

Host Jimmy, 51, went on to ask the music superstar if she believes her daughter is ready to break off from supporting her mother to going out on her own.<\/p>\n

Mariah answered: ‘I’m trying to get her to do her own thing. I think she wants to. So possibly.’<\/p>\n

The singer later performed new single Play This Song which is a duet with talented musician and rumored love interest Anderson Paak who joined her<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Aside from Monroe,\u00a0 the Fantasy hitmaker also shares son Moroccan – who is twins with Monroe – with media personality Nick Cannon.<\/a><\/p>\n

He and Carey were married from 2008 until 2016.<\/p>\n

Monroe has followed in her mother’s footsteps as a singer, performing alongside her on TikTok and onstage multiple times.<\/p>\n

Last year, she joined her onstage at The Hollywood Bowl <\/a>along with her brother.<\/p>\n

Back in December 2023, Monroe joined her famous mother on stage as they performed during her Merry Christmas One And All concert at the iconic Madison Square Garden.<\/p>\n

Also that year, Kim Kardashian captured video of the ‘Queen of Christmas’ singing a duet with Monroe of Jesus Born On This Day, when she took her daughters North and Chicago to the concert.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘As they grow up and decide what to do with their lives, it\u2019s really nice for me to be able to see them performing onstage,’ she shared in 2023. ‘I even like watching them getting ready, preparing to perform.’<\/p>\n

While cherishing her onstage moments with Monroe, Carey emphasized she won’t force her career on her children.<\/p>\n

In a 2022 interview with W Magazine<\/a>, she said she wants her twins to know ‘they can be anything they want to be.’<\/p>\n

‘I never say, “You guys gotta do this,” you know? It\u2019s whatever they want to do and they\u2019re rehearsing for it and going for it and really working hard, so that\u2019s impressive to me,’ Carey told Access Hollywood <\/a>in 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In November 2021, Monroe and her brother appeared in a cameo role in Carey\u2019s ‘Fall in Love at Christmas’ music video.<\/a><\/p>\n

‘I love it. I love seeing them stepping into this performance space, this music space, and the fact that they\u2019re eager to do it, that\u2019s on them,’ Mariah said.<\/p>\n
