Sydney Swans<\/a> list manager Chris Keane has admitted the club is “disappointed” after forward Jack Buller signalled his intention to leave the club.<\/p>\n

Buller joined the Swans with pick 13 in the 2023 mid-season draft and has played 10 games for the club.<\/p>\n

His preferred destination is Collingwood<\/a> with Magpies list boss Justin Leppitsch hoping to land him as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

Keane spoke on AFL Trade Radio on Tuesday morning, revealing Sydney’s surprise.<\/p>\n

“Jack caught us off guard a bit,” he said.<\/p>\n

“We had no indication he was looking at a move. We understand his intention is to get to Collingwood, we will see how that one goes throughout this period. We did everything we could have and we had a compelling offer on the table.<\/p>\n

“We are disappointed with it.” <\/p>\n

Buller’s desire to move comes with Charlie Curnow’s mooted trade to Sydney, which appears difficult at this stage.<\/p>\n

On Nine’s The Trade Off<\/a>, Matthew Lloyd said a deal similar to Jeremy Cameron’s move to Geelong would be needed.<\/p>\n

“I think he stays, looking at the two clubs interested in him, Sydney and potentially Geelong, I don’t see how they do it,” he said.<\/p>\n

“I liken it to the Jeremy Cameron deal where you’d want three first round picks and I don’t see how anyone gets that done.”<\/p>\n

However, Keane believes there’s “multiple options”.<\/p>\n

“If it is players from our club or opposition clubs, we will try and remain pragmatic in terms of what might get a deal done.
