{"id":195578,"date":"2025-10-07T15:05:14","date_gmt":"2025-10-07T15:05:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/195578\/"},"modified":"2025-10-07T15:05:14","modified_gmt":"2025-10-07T15:05:14","slug":"shrewsbury-foxs-great-adventure-new-book-by-sarah-corkill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/195578\/","title":{"rendered":"Shrewsbury Fox\u2019s Great Adventure \u2013 New Book by Sarah Corkill"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Sarah Corkill&#8217;s new book tells the tale of Furlin Fox and his adventures around Shrewsbury &#8211; a perfect Christmas gift. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Read on to find out more.<\/p>\n<p>We are delighted to announce that local artist Sarah Corkill has a new rhyming storybook filled with her illustrations which is out now &#8211; an idea gift for Christmas!<\/p>\n<p>The Shrewsbury Fox\u2019s Great Adventure follows Furlin Fox as he explores the beautiful sights of our town with his friends, Owl and Hedgehog.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sarah has been painting Shrewsbury scenes for a while now and always included a little fox in her work. Sarah\u2019s sister suggested the idea for the book after seeing this fox theme.<\/p>\n<p>As Sarah explains:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love adding animals to my paintings, bringing a touch of life and storytelling to each scene. My work is inspired by the timeless art of Beatrix Potter, and classics such as Brambly hedge, Winnie the Pooh and Paddington Bear.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fox, owl and hedgehog add a sense of playfulness, magic and mischief to my artwork. Whenever I painted the fox, people would comment on how much they loved him &#8211; so I kept including him. Now it feels strange to paint a scene without him there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" alt=\"The Shrewsbury Fox\u2019s Great Adventure\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" class=\"img-responsive    stc-lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.myshrewsbury.co.uk\/assets\/bXlzaHJld3NidXJ5\/images\/sarah-corkill-11499\/whatsapp-image-2025-10-07-at-11-07-40-5192cdd6.jpg?v=1759838917\" bad-src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/stc-img-placeholder.png\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Furlin was named by Sarah\u2019s daughter, who also helped write the story and imagine what his home inside his burrow might look like.
