NBA Hall of Famer, global basketball icon and multi-hyphenate Dwight Howard has signed with Innovative Artists Entertainment, the agency announced on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Howard, affectionately known as \u201cSuperman,\u201d is an NBA champion, Olympic gold medalist, eight-time NBA All-Star, eight-time All-NBA Team honoree, five-time All-Defensive Team member and three-time Defensive Player of the Year.<\/p>\n

The athlete has appeared on television, including on \u201cblack-ish\u201d for ABC, \u201cNever Have I Ever\u201d for Netflix and \u201cThe Odd Couple\u201d for CBS, and in films such as \u201cThe Equalizer 2\u201d and \u201cJust Wright.\u201d He also competed on the 33rd season of \u201cDancing With the Stars,\u201d the sixth season of \u201cThe Masked Singer\u201d as Octopus and finished third on \u201cSpecial Forces: World\u2019s Toughest Test.\u201d<\/p>\n

Howard hosts the podcast \u201cAbove The Rim With DH12,\u201d where he leads candid conversations across sports, culture and lifestyle, and is currently developing a documentary with Hearst that offers an intimate look at his career and evolution.<\/p>\n

He will continue to be managed by The Gym Agency. Mujaahid (Mu) Abdul-Baasit, Howard\u2019s manager and business partner at the agency, collaborates with him across a diverse portfolio of ventures, including their \u201cOut of the Box\u201d production and media company.<\/p>\n

The news is on the heels of Innovative continuing its expansion into sports<\/a>. They announced in March<\/a> that private equity firm Coral Tree Partners had assumed a minority stake in the agency, and at that time, the company rebranded all departments under the singular brand name Innovative Artists Entertainment.<\/p>\n
