And what weather is forecast for the Supercars on Mount Panorama?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">The roar of Supercars will echo around Mount Panorama once more this weekend, as the annual sporting pilgrimage to Australia&#8217;s motorsport Mecca gets underway.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">The Bathurst 1000 is one of the sport&#8217;s great events, and the 2025 edition is no different.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">As motor-heads from around the world head to the New South Wales Central Tablelands, here&#8217;s everything you need to know about The Great Race.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">(All times Australian Eastern Daylight Time \u2014 AEDT \u2014 unless stated).<\/p>\n<p>When is the Bathurst 1000?<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Action gets underway on the mountain on Thursday, October 9, with a litany of support races starting us off from 6:25am \u2014 so don&#8217;t expect a lie-in if you live anywhere near the circuit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">The first Supercars practice is an hour-long from 12:20pm on Thursday, with a co-driver only session from 3:50pm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">The action continues on Friday, when qualifying will take place at 3:10pm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">The top 10 shootout will take place on Saturday at 4:05pm, before the big race on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>What time does the Bathurst start?<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Cam Waters drives up the mountain\" class=\"Image_image__5tFYM ContentImage_image__DQ_cq\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/c64e398539541476545898c347419c69\" loading=\"lazy\" data-component=\"Image\" data-lazy=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"Typography_base__sj2RP FigureCaption_text__zDxQ5 Typography_sizeMobile12__w_FPC Typography_lineHeightMobile20___U7Vr Typography_regular__WeIG6 Typography_colourInherit__dfnUx\" data-component=\"Typography\">Cam Waters is a two-time runner-up at Bathurst in his 13 appearances so far. Not likely this year&#8230; (Getty Images: Morgan Hancock)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Everyone&#8217;s eyes will be on the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) over the next couple of days, as fans hunt for a clue as to whether the weather could create carnage on the mountain.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Earlier this week BOM was predicting a shower or two for race day, with a 60 per cent chance of up to 3 millimetres.
