During the premiere of his latest film, Jay Kelly, the 64-year-old actor told the Daily Mail<\/a> he does have \u201cnormalcy\u201d in his life.<\/p>\n \u201cI have normalcy. They came a couple of times. I try to keep the kids away from that experience right now,\u201d he explained. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not quite sure what they would think about it. A good portion of my life growing up was on a farm, and as a kid I hated the whole idea of it,\u201d he told the outlet. <\/p>\n \u201cBut now, for them, it\u2019s like \u2013 they\u2019re not on their iPads, you know? They have dinner with grown-ups and have to take their dishes in. They have a much better life.<\/p>\n \u201cI was worried about raising our kids in LA, in the culture of Hollywood. I felt like they were never going to get a fair shake at life,\u201d he continued. <\/p>\n \u201cFrance \u2013 they kind of don\u2019t give a sh*t about fame. I don\u2019t want them to be walking around worried about paparazzi. I don\u2019t want them being compared to somebody else\u2019s famous kids.\u201d<\/p>\n Earlier this year, the From Dusk till Dawn actor told The New York Times<\/a> about embracing the quieter life outside the city.<\/p>\n \u201cGrowing up in Kentucky, all I wanted to do was get away from a farm, get away from that life,\u201d he told the outlet. <\/p>\n \u201cNow I find myself back in that life.
