OpenAI in turn committed to filling those sites with millions of Nvidia chips. The arrangement was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-09-23\/nvidia-s-massive-openai-deal-fuels-circular-financing-concerns\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"media-ui-Link_link-tVkXhPLPofs-\" data-component=\"link\">promptly criticized<\/a> for its \u201ccircular\u201d nature.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ArticleBodyText_articleBodyContent__17wqE typography_articleBody__3UcBa\" data-component=\"paragraph\">This week, undeterred, OpenAI struck a similar deal. The ChatGPT maker on Monday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-10-06\/openai-signs-amd-chips-deal-worth-tens-of-billions-of-dollars\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"media-ui-Link_link-tVkXhPLPofs-\" data-component=\"link\">inked a partnership<\/a> with Nvidia rival Advanced Micro Devices Inc. to deploy tens of billions of dollars\u2019 worth of its chips.
