After a career-defining year with the New Zealand Warriors<\/a>, Kalani Going is officially on the lookout for his next challenge.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 2025 NSW Cup Player of the Year has confirmed his departure from the club, closing a memorable three-year chapter that saw him lead the Warriors to back-to-back titles.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old forward captained the side to the 2025 NSW Cup crown against the St George Illawarra Dragons<\/a> before backing it up with victory in the State Championship over the Burleigh Bears. His individual form was just as impressive, Going became the first Warrior to win the NSW Cup\u2019s top honour, cementing his place as one of the competition\u2019s standout performers.<\/p>\n

Captain, leader, and now free agent<\/p>\n

Despite his success, Going was only on a development contract this season and will now test the open market in search of a new club. Known for his versatility across the forward pack, he previously earned his NRL debut in 2023 against the Dolphins<\/a> and has been praised for his leadership both on and off the field.<\/p>\n
