Independent MP Mark Latham’s former partner Nathalie Matthews has pleaded not guilty to intimate image charges.<\/p>\n
Ms Matthews briefly faced John Maddison Tower Local Court on Wednesday, where she is facing charges of accessing or modifying restricted data held in a computer, intentionally recording an intimate image without consent and intentionally distributing intimate images without consent.<\/p>\n
The victim of those alleged offences cannot be named for legal reasons.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old was arrested at Sydney Airport on Sunday after arriving on a flight from Dubai.<\/p>\n
In a separate matter, Ms Matthews’s private apprehended violence order (AVO) application against the former One Nation politician was also heard in the same court.<\/p>\n
It will return to court on a later date.<\/p>\n
Following the pair’s break-up last year, Ms Matthews accused Mr Latham of committing a series of “degrading” sex acts.<\/p>\n
Mr Latham denies the allegations and has not been charged with any criminal offences.<\/p>\n

‘Outrageous use of the legal system’: Latham<\/p>\n
Outside court, Mr Latham had an outburst while speaking to the media, labelling the AVO application as a “complete waste of the court’s time”.<\/p>\n
For legal reasons, the ABC cannot publish the full comments he made, however he went on to call Ms Matthews “a habitual liar” and “a complete fantasist”.<\/p>\n
“There should be a change to the law in NSW whereby having been rejected by the police for an AVO, you can’t come with a private set of lies,” Mr Latham said.<\/p>\n
“This is an outrageous use of the legal system that someone can belittle and abuse the domestic violence space with things that are clearly made up.”<\/p>\n
When asked if she was having a “better day” after receiving bail on Monday, Ms Matthews replied: “Yeah, much better.”<\/p>\n
