Stung by the fan protests and criticisms of the summer window and indeed, no doubt the methodology behind the Graham Potter sacking, the official club channels have stuck to their \u2018radio silence\u2019 : West Ham\u2019s famously leaky \u2018spokesmen\u2019 and \u2018club sources\u2019 who usually love passing on news gossip and opinions to their fave sites have fallen strangely silent.<\/p>\n<p>Following the universal disdain which met the club statement a few weeks ago there has been very little communicated outside official channels- so peripheral go almost unnoticed whilst fans, journalists and bloggers concentrate on the bigger picture.<\/p>\n<p>The peculiar \u2018disappearance\u2019 of \u00a0Michail Antonio is one such story. Just a few weeks ago, Antonio was training with, and appearing for the u21\u2019s in his quest to stay fit and just possibly get back into top flight football: No longer. No official statement, nothing from the player \u2013 just \u2013 silence.<\/p>\n<p>    Most Read on West Ham News<\/p>\n<p>No announcement, no recognition, just \u2013 silence on Antonio\u2019s \u2018final destination\u2019<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patreon.com\/posts\/twhw-podcast-2-s-140578438\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ExWHU employee<\/a> has thrown a little light on the Hammers\u2019 record goalscorer\u2019s situation, speaking on his patron podcast:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI asked the other day what the Antonio situation was because obviously he was still training with West Ham and playing for the Under 21s,\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat I was told is that he is not at West Ham anymore, he\u2019s not been coming in to train and he\u2019s not played for the Under 21s recently so I think his ties have been officially cut.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-125687\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/michail-antonio-west-ham-united-786509815-1-300x200.webp.webp\" alt=\"Antonio-time to acknowledge the passing of time\" width=\"984\" height=\"656\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Shame there was no word from Antonio to say a \u2018goodbye\u2019 \u2013 ten years at the club and a current club Premier League highest goal scoring record holder \u2013 until Jarrod Bowen catches his 68 goal record this season.
