Dolly Parton has taken to social media to announce that she “ain’t dead yet” amid public speculation about her health.<\/p>\n
“There are just a lot of rumors flying around. But I figured if you heard it from me, you’d know that I was OK,” the 79-year-old singer said in an Instagram video.<\/p>\n
“I’m not ready to die yet. I don’t think God is through with me \u2014 and I ain’t done working.”<\/p>\n
Parton’s post, which appeared a number of her social media accounts, was captioned, “I ain’t dead yet”.<\/p>\n
Late last month she postponed her first Las Vegas residency in 32 years due to “health challenges”.<\/p>\n
Parton was scheduled to perform six shows in Las Vegas in December, which would have overlapped with the National Finals Rodeo.<\/p>\n

The dates have been moved to September next year.<\/p>\n
Parton did not provide specific details at the time, writing, “As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures”.<\/p>\n
“As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!” she wrote.<\/p>\n

In the video clip shared on Wednesday, Parton is sitting on a set and speaking directly to camera, telling her audience that she is about to record a few commercials for the Grand Ole Opry, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.<\/p>\n
