In the wild, wild West, things went south.<\/p>\n

Allegations have surfaced that Kevin Costner got into an on-set incident during \u201cYellowstone\u201d that caused production to temporarily shut down.<\/p>\n

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Academy Award winner, 70, came to blows with Wes Bentley, who played his son, Jamie Dutton, on the show.<\/p>\n

The outlet claimed Costner encouraged the \u201cAmerican Beauty\u201d alum, 47, to \u201cditch\u201d show creator Taylor Sheridan\u2019s script and play a certain scene differently.<\/p>\n

However, Bentley barked back, that he signed up for a \u201cTaylor Sheridan show, not a Kevin Costner production.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to a source who was there, Costner proceeded to \u201clunge\u201d at Bentley.<\/p>\n

The actors pushed and shoved one another until they were separated.<\/p>\n

Kelly Reilly, 48, who played Costner\u2019s daughter, Beth Dutton, was allegedly in tears, per a witness\u2019 account.<\/p>\n

Production was briefly shut.<\/p>\n

The Post reached out to reps for \u201cYellowstone,\u201d Costner and Bentley.<\/p>\n

Costner left the show following the death of his character in the Season 5 premiere in November 2024. The series is set to spin off on CBS.<\/p>\n

The story will follow John\u2019s other son, Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes).<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler\u2019s (Cole Hauser) story will continue at Paramount+.<\/p>\n

It was previously said that Costner departed \u201cYellowstone\u201d due to issues with Sheridan, 55.<\/p>\n

The \u201cWaterworld\u201d alum allegedly wanted to rearrange his time on the Western to direct his \u201cHorizon\u201d films.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Costner spoke about ongoing rumors of a feud between him and the showrunner in June 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have taken a beating from those f****** guys, and I know a lot of times where it\u2019s coming from. I just elected not to get into that. But if you know me well enough, I made \u2018Yellowstone\u2019 the first priority, and to insinuate anything else would be wrong. I did not initiate any of those things. They did,\u201d the Golden Globe winner told Deadline at the time.<\/p>\n

There was also speculation that Costner refused to be on set filming for more than one week for the second half of Season 5, which his lawyer vehemently denied.<\/p>\n

Sheridan, however, has alluded to Costner wanting to leave \u201cYellowstone\u201d to make \u201cHorizon.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2024, Costner took to social media to reveal he was stepping away from the project.<\/p>\n

Costner added that the hit Paramount series, which ended with Season 5 in December 2024, \u201cwas something that really changed me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI loved it and I know you loved it. I just wanted to let you know that I won\u2019t be returning,\u201d he shared. \u201cI love the relationships that I\u2019ve been able to develop. And I\u2019ll see you at the movies.\u201d<\/p>\n
