\n\tBaz Luhrmann\u2019s<\/a> \u201cEPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert<\/a>\u201d has been acquired by Neon<\/a> and Universal Pictures for domestic and international rights, respectively.<\/p>\n

\n\tNeon will release the film theatrically in the U.S., and Universal Pictures International will release the film internationally in 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\tFrom Sony Music Vision, Bazmark and Authentic Studios, the film debuted in the official selection of the Toronto International Film Festival.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cEPiC\u201d utilizes a wealth of never-before-seen footage including Presley\u2019s Vegas residency in the 1970s, rare 16mm footage from \u201cElvis on Tour\u201d and 8mm from the Graceland archive. There are also recordings of Elvis telling \u201chis side of the story\u201d rediscovered during Luhrmann\u2019s research for his 2022 film \u201cElvis,\u201d starring Austin Butler as the King of Rock \u2018n\u2019 Roll.<\/p>\n

\n\tLuhrmann said, \u201cFrom the first day my editor, Jonathan Redmond, and I encountered this rare and never-before-seen footage of Elvis almost 8 years ago, it has been our mission that Elvis should finally fulfil his unrealised dream to tour around the world.\u201d He added, \u201cAlong with our incredible partners at Authentic Studios and Sony Music Vision, we created an experience that is not just a documentary and not just a concert film; it\u2019s \u2018EPiC.\u2019 Now, I could not be more thrilled that our passion is matched by Neon and Universal, who will ensure this film will be seen from local cinemas in small towns, to the biggest screens in the biggest cities in the world. I personally can\u2019t wait to TCB (Elvis\u2019s motto: \u2018taking care of business\u2019) and take this show on the road.\u201d<\/p>\n
