Tamika Upton has capped off a stellar season with the Broncos by being awarded the NRLW Player of the Year at Thursday night\u2019s awards at The Star, Brisbane.<\/p>\n
The 28-year-old returned to the Club at the start of the season and had an immediate impact on the team by scoring 20 tries in just 13 appearances.<\/p>\n
The Dally M Medal winner also had 14 try assists, 53 tackle breaks, 20 line breaks and averaged almost 140 run metres per game.<\/p>\n
Not only did the fullback take out Player of the Year, but she was also awarded Players\u2019 Player, Best Back and Play of the Year for her four-try haul in Round 9 against the Bulldogs.<\/p>\n
Shalom Sauaso was recognised for her breakout debut season in the NRLW, named Rookie of the Year.<\/p>\n
At just 18-years-old, Sauaso played well beyond her years, and averaged 143 run metres despite coming off the bench in almost all of her games.<\/p>\n
She also scored five tries in ten games, including in the Broncos\u2019 Grand Final victory over the Sydney Roosters.<\/p>\n
Julia Robinson was named the Broncos\u2019 Most Consistent Player in her first year at centre, where she averaged 222 run-metres, scored five tries and had 93 tackle breaks.<\/p>\n
Her standout season saw her finish just three-points behind teammate, Upton, in the Dally M Medal count.<\/p>\n
Joseph was awarded the Best Forward for her consistent performances across all 13 games this season.<\/p>\n
The 23-year-old made 30-tackles per game at 95 per cent efficiency, whil also running for almost 110 metres on average.<\/p>\n
Joseph, Robinson and Upton were all selected in the Australian Jillaroos squad for the upcoming Pacific Championships in Brisbane and New Zealand starting later this month.<\/p>\n
