The Naarm\/Melbourne band’s big return to the Like A Version studio sees them taking the 2008 pop anthem deep into the pit, delivering a truly roaring take.<\/p>\n
“It was interesting to figure out where we wanted it to have a heavy moment,” vocalist Jacob Charlton said.<\/p>\n
“But I think that came pretty naturally with some of the bridge work.”<\/p>\n
Instead of making directly flipping the pop song into an “entirely heavy” cover, Thornhill let those immense breakdown riffs come organically.<\/p>\n
The end result is something we’re ready to throw hands to in the pit.<\/p>\n
