Sydney onballer James Rowbottom<\/a> has become a name that could help unlock a deal for Carlton full forward Charlie Curnow<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Blues are all ears when it comes to potential trades for the two-time Coleman medallist, with Geelong also putting their initial offer forward.<\/p>\n

The Cats tabled three first-round selections over the next three years, but have swiftly been denied by the Blues, as revealed by Cal Twomey.<\/p>\n

“For Geelong, those three picks are effectively going to be picks in the 20s. I’m not sure anyone would think that was a reasonable deal for who Charlie Curnow<\/a> is,” Carlton football boss Chris Davies said on\u00a0AFL Trade Radio\u00a0Friday morning<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Carlton is seemingly into established players, and the Swans pose as the likeliest of clubs to satisfy their needs.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0SEN’s Sam Edmund, Rowbottom, along with Pick 11 and Sydney’s future first-round selection, are “all part of negotiations at the moment”.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old also hails from Melbourne, and could be lured by the potential return home.<\/p>\n

Swans forward Will Hayward<\/a> continues to be linked with the Princes Park club, given he previously explored a move to Victoria before re-signing last year.<\/p>\n

The pair are both contracted for at least the next three years, although Hayward has a deal at Sydney until the end of 2029.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, the Blues have traded in Liam Reidy<\/a> from Fremantle, and will work through the next few days to land Campbell Chesser<\/a> (West Coast) and Buku Khamis<\/a> (Western Bulldogs<\/a>).<\/p>\n

As for Sydney, they welcomed Malcolm Rosas<\/a> to their side from Gold Coast, but are set to farewell Jack Buller<\/a>, as he intends to join Collingwood.<\/p>\n
