The Titans\u2019 Carter Gordon experiment is reportedly over.<\/p>\n

Gordon is expected to be released back to rugby union effective immediately after the Wallabies offered the Gold Coast a transfer fee of $100,000, according to Code Sports. <\/a><\/p>\n

He has been released from his Titans contract and is set to join Super Rugby club Queensland Reds for the 2026 season. <\/p>\n

The Wallabies are keen to have Gordon at their disposal for the 2027 home World Cup. <\/p>\n

Gordon only played in one NRL game this season after being sidelined with a spinal injury. <\/p>\n

Gordon\u2019s release means his contract for next year comes off the book, giving the Titans a little more salary cap ammo for next season. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear who the Titans may target but what is clear is that new coach Josh Hannay is keen give his roster a face lift. <\/p>\n

Veteran prop Reagan Campbell-Gillard is already out the door while the club are making moves to allow David Fifita to head to South Sydney.<\/p>\n
