There is no question about that,” Ambrogio said on AFL Trade Radio.

“We have had some discussions, [and] we did agree that the best time for these discussions would be in the off-season. That’s what we’ve traditionally done [with Bailey for] the last two extensions he’s done.

“We’ll get through the trade period, and that will be job number one to sit down with the guys from Mac’s Sports.”

Tom McConville from Mac’s Sports Promotions, Bailey’s management group, said the new contract would be based on various components.

“We haven’t had those chats yet. He has obviously just come off a flag and is in Japan at the moment and is enjoying a little bit of downtime,” McConville said on AFL Trade Radio.

“We’ll have a conversation with him when he comes back and see what he wants to do. There is no doubt he’s had a career-best year, and I think he is going to be hot property next year as a free agent. We’ll work through that in due course.

“It will be a lifestyle and football decision, but there is also the financial component.

“He wants to be winning games, playing well and getting the best out of himself. He is going to be looked after well.”

Bailey is one of the biggest free agents next year, with Port Adelaide‘s Zak Butters, Carlton’s Sam Walsh and Gold Coast‘s Ben King also out of contract next year.

Brisbane’s list manager, Dom Ambrogio, has declared that signing two-time premiership star Zac Bailey on a new contract…

[560
638,64,63,55,639,85
0":"post-202866","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-afl","8":"tag-afl","9":"tag-au","10":"tag-australia","11":"tag-australian-football-league","12":"tag-australianfootballleague","13":"tag-sports
["GET
