T\ufeffhe Princess of Wales<\/a> has made a subtle nod to British fashion mogul Victoria Beckham<\/a> on the launch day of Victoria’s Netflix docuseries<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During an engagement to promote an initiative from her Centre for Early Childhood on Thursday 9 October, Catherine opted for an ensemble from Victoria’s design label.<\/p>\n

\ufeffShe chose an olive Victoria Beckham suit for the occasion which she paired with a matching top and gold pendant.<\/p>\n

The outfit choice came on the same day Victoria celebrated the launch of her new self-titled docuseries.<\/p>\n

The night before, Victoria attended the star-studded event with her family (except for her son Brooklyn Peltz Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz who live in the United States). \ufeff<\/p>\n

\ufeffOther big names at the event included actress and close friend of Beckham’s Eva Longoria\ufeff and former Spice Girls Geri Halliwell, Melanie C and Emma Bunton.<\/p>\n

One member of the popular ’90s girl group\ufeff, Mel B was notably not in attendance at the event.<\/p>\n

During the premiere event, Beckham made a moving speech about the journey of filming the documentary.<\/p>\n

“You know, it’s taken me this process to really be proud \ufeffof what I’ve achieved and to realise finally that I am enough,” she said, per People.<\/p>\n

In the three-part docuseries, Beckham has opened up about her life and career, sharing never-before-heard details about her struggles to build her fashion empire and her eating disorder.<\/p>\n

\ufeffDuring the series, the Spice Girl<\/a>-turned-designer was candid about her life and credited her partner of more than 27 years, David Beckham<\/a>, for helping her through the tumultuous years.<\/p>\n

However, perhaps one of her biggest recent struggles the couple have faced – the family’s growing rift with eldest son Brooklyn Beckham<\/a> – was completely skipped.<\/p>\n

As for Catherine’s subtle nod to Beckham’s new career milestone, she and Prince William have long held a close connection with the designer and her husband David Beckham.<\/p>\n

David and Victoria attended both Prince William and Catherine’s wedding and Catherine regularly wears designs from Victoria’s label.<\/p>\n

\ufeffOn the same day as her recent engagement, Catherine spoke about the importance of putting down screens<\/a> around kids in a personal essay released on Thursday, titled The Power of Human Connection in a Distracted World<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Look the people you care about in the eye and be fully there – because that is where love begins,” she said.<\/p>\n

The mum-of-three collaborated with adult development researcher Robert Waldinger to warn that technology is contributing to an epidemic of disconnection that’s hurting family relationships. \ufeff<\/p>\n

“We sit together in the same room while our minds are scattered across dozens of apps, notifications, and feeds,” the authors wrote.<\/p>\n

“We’re physically present but mentally absent, unable to fully engage with the people right in front of us.”<\/p>\n

Devices that promise to keep us connected often do the opposite, they said in the essay posted on the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood website.<\/p>\n
