CONSIDER for a moment Claret and Hugh\u2019s<\/a> earlier article this morning concerning James Ward Prowse\u2019s \u2018high and dry\u2019 status as a squad member apparently surplus to requirements. Expensive, unwanted \u2013 even at half his original fee- he sits at thirty one next month costing over \u00a3100k a week in wages and well-nigh unsellable.<\/p>\n

No, this isn\u2019t another \u2018JWP\u2019 bashing article. He\u2019s not alone. West Ham have history with past-it, expensive, unsellable signings.<\/p>\n

Exhibit two. Guido Rodriguez. Signed on a \u2018free\u2019 that cost several million in signing on fees, Guido is again earning close to \u00a3100k a week and is another \u2018high and dry\u2019 Hammer that the club can neither use or sell.<\/p>\n

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and aver again yet expecting a different result.
