Ricky Hatton\u2019s daughter delivered a heartbreaking comment during her father\u2019s funeral, asking \u201cWhy didn\u2019t you reach out?\u201d<\/p>\n
The boxing legend\u2019s funeral took place in Manchester<\/a> on Friday. A procession travelled through Manchester streets lined with fans paying their respects and stopped at several pubs as well as Hatton\u2019s gym.<\/p>\n It made its way to Manchester Cathedral, where the service, which was attended by several well-known faces<\/a>, was held. The likes of Wayne Rooney, Liam Gallagher and Tyson Fury were in attendance.<\/p>\n All three of Hatton\u2019s children, Fern, aged 12, Campbell, aged 24, and Millie, aged 13, delivered their own tributes during the service. It was a particular line from Millie that hit hard.<\/p>\n \u201cWhy did you feel that way?\u201d She asked, according to the Telegraph<\/a>. \u201cWhy didn\u2019t you reach out about how you felt?\u201d<\/p>\n Hatton had been honest with his battles with mental health throughout the years since retiring from professional boxing. It did seem that he was winning the battle, but was found dead in his home last month aged just 46.<\/p>\n In her emotional tribute, Millie continued: \u201cI can\u2019t help but think about how you will never walk me down the aisle, how you will never meet my children and your grandchildren, how you won\u2019t be here to see me leave school<\/a> or even see me grow into an adult.\u201d<\/p>\n She added, \u201cI genuinely hope you don\u2019t ever think you have let me down, because I would never think that. I love and miss you unconditionally.\u201d<\/p>\n In his eulogy, Campbell said: \u201c[I] looked up to my dad in every aspect of life. All of that was fuelled by the love I had and always will have for him.<\/p>\n \u201cI can\u2019t explain how much I\u2019m going to miss you dad. I can\u2019t believe we\u2019re not going to make any new memories together.<\/p>\n \u201cBut the ones I have I will treasure forever.\u201d<\/p>\n Following the service the cortege left the Cathedral and headed towards the Etihad Stadium, the home of his beloved Manchester City.
