Strahinja Joki\u0107, the brother of Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Joki\u0107, received 12 months of probation for punching a fan in the stands during a 2024 NBA playoff game. <\/p>\n
Per TMZ Sports<\/a>, a judge in Denver issued the probation to Strahinja on Friday after he previously pleaded guilty to one count of trespassing and one count of disorderly conduct. <\/p>\n The incident occurred on April 22, 2024, in the aftermath of the Nuggets’ 101-99 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 2 of the Western Conference first-round postseason series. <\/p>\n Denver won the game on Jamal Murray’s buzzer beater. There was a situation in the stands after the victory in which Joki\u0107 was seen on video arguing with another fan before punching him in the face. <\/p>\n Joki\u0107 was charged<\/a> with assault three months later after the other man involved told investigators situation was unprovoked and he suffered a concussion as a result of the punch. <\/p>\n According to Joki\u0107, he was defending an older man when the situation occurred. He originally pleaded not guilty<\/a> to the misdemeanor assault charge in January. <\/p>\n
