{"id":205490,"date":"2025-10-11T13:14:06","date_gmt":"2025-10-11T13:14:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/205490\/"},"modified":"2025-10-11T13:14:06","modified_gmt":"2025-10-11T13:14:06","slug":"alex-marquez-admits-perfect-motogp-season-wouldnt-have-stopped-marc-marquez","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/205490\/","title":{"rendered":"Alex Marquez admits \u2018perfect\u2019 MotoGP season wouldn\u2019t have stopped Marc Marquez"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alex Marquez admits he couldn\u2019t have beaten Marc Marquez to the 2025 MotoGP world title even if he put in a \u201cperfect\u201d season, but sees fighting against him as \u201can honour\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>For most of the 2025 season, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/racer\/935450\/alex-marquez\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alex Marquez<\/a> was the closest challenger to his older brother in the championship race having amassed two grand prix victories.<\/p>\n<p>But <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/racer\/1654\/marc-marquez\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Marc Marquez<\/a> proved too dominant, winning 11 grands prix and 14 sprints on his way to wrapping up a seventh world title by the 17th round of 22 this season.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Marquez allowed the gap to his older brother to swell through key mistakes, including crashes at the Dutch and Czech Grands Prix.<\/p>\n<p>But he admits, even without those, there was no way of beating Marc Marquez in the form that he has been in this season.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI mean, I think making our things in a perfect situation couldn\u2019t be enough to fight with Marc or to win the title,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStill with the mistake in Holland, with the mistakes in Brno.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is making all the records of points and statistics and all that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, against that you can\u2019t win anything.
