Japanese astronaut Kimiya Yui&#8217;s social media posts were the exception&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"elk-orbital-observation\" href=\"\" data-url=\"\" target=\"_blank\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\"\/>Orbital observation<\/p>\n<p id=\"ad4a1e8f-9617-40ee-ab9d-7d5f925a2a1c\">Expedition 73 flight engineer Kimiya Yui of <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/22672-japan-aerospace-exploration-agency.html\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/22672-japan-aerospace-exploration-agency.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">JAXA<\/a> (the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) saw not one but two typhoons this week from aboard the International Space Station. (Typhoons are the <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/oceanservice.noaa.gov\/facts\/cyclone.html\" target=\"_blank\" data-url=\"https:\/\/oceanservice.noaa.gov\/facts\/cyclone.html\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">same weather phenomenon<\/a> as hurricanes: both are tropical cyclones.
