The #31 Action Express Racing Cadillac V-Series.R LMDh took the flag after 10 hours of racing around Road Atlanta with a 5.1s margin over #23 The Heart of Racing Aston Martin Valkyrie Le Mans Hypercar shared by Ross Gunn<\/a>, Roman De Angelis<\/a> and Alex Riberas<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n #23 Aston Martin Thor Team Aston Martin Valkyrie: Ross Gunn, Roman De Angelis, Alex Riberas<\/p>\n Photo by: Jake Galstad \/ Lumen via Getty Images<\/p>\n Third place for Campbell and Jaminet, who shared the #6 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963 LMDh with Laurens Vanthoor<\/a>, was more than enough to give them the IMSA SportsCar Championship drivers\u2019 title.<\/p>\n Porsche took a clean sweep of the silverware in the GTP class, also claiming the manufacturers\u2019 and teams\u2019 crowns and the IMSA Endurance Cup with Nick Tandy<\/a> and Felipe Nasr<\/a> in the sister #7 PPM car.<\/p>\n The Action Express Cadillac was the fastest car for the majority of the 10-hour IMSA SportsCar Championship finale at Road Atlanta, but had to fight back from an early delay to retain the Petit Le Mans crown won by the Chip Ganassi Racing squad in 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n #60 Acura Meyer Shank Racing w\/Curb Agajanian Acura ARX-06: Tom Blomqvist, Colin Braun, Scott Dixon<\/p>\n Photo by: Michael L. Levitt \/ Lumen via Getty Images<\/p>\n Aitken, who had qualified second, took the lead after shadowing pole winner Tom Blomqvist<\/a> in the #60 Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-06 LMDh for the first two and a half hours of the race.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Briton was able to stretch the lead to nearly 10s before handing over to Bamber just before the fifth of six safety cars to interrupt the 28th running of the Petit Le Mans enduro.\u00a0<\/p>\n Bamber had to come back into the pits with a right rear puncture under the yellow flags after running over debris on his outlap.\u00a0<\/p>\n The New Zealander was able to bring the car up to second place behind the #6 PPM car into which Vanthoor was drafted in on race morning after Julien Andlauer<\/a> fell ill.<\/p>\n The Action Express entry then jumped the Porsche in the pits during the final safety car with four hours to go.<\/p>\n #24 BMW M Team RLL BMW M Hybrid V8: Philipp Eng, Dries Vanthoor, Kevin Magnussen<\/p>\n Photo by: Michael L. Levitt \/ Lumen via Getty Images<\/p>\n Vesti was able to build an advantage over Dries Vanthoor<\/a> in the #24 Rahal BMW M Hybrid V8 LMDh shared with\u00a0Philipp Eng<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Kevin Magnussen<\/a>, which had also got ahead of the Shank Acura.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Porsche came back into contention after Campbell moved past the BMW and closed to within a second of Bamber in the penultimate hour, but after the final round of pitstops with just over an hour to go the Caddy driver was able to reassert his advantage over the Porsche, now with Jaminet at the wheel.\u00a0<\/p>\n All the cars needed to make a splash-and-dash fuel stop in the final hour, with the THOR team opting to make its extra pit call early.\u00a0<\/p>\n #63 Automobili Lamborghini Squadra Corse Lamborghini SC63: Romain Grosjean, Edoardo Mortara, Daniil Kvyat<\/p>\n Photo by: Brandon Badraoui \/ Lumen via Getty Images<\/p>\n The strategy promoted De Angelis to third behind the Cadillac and the factory Lamborghini SC63 LMDh with Romain Grosjean<\/a> at the wheel when the Caddy and the Porsche stopped.<\/p>\n That became second when Grosjean, who shared the Lambo with Edoardo Mortara<\/a> and Daniil Kvyat<\/a>, made his splash with five minutes to go.\u00a0The Lambo still made it home in fourth place on what is the final scheduled appearance for the car.\u00a0<\/p>\n The best of the Shank cars took fifth with Blomqvist, Colin Braun<\/a> and Scott Dixon<\/a>, while the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac driven by Ricky Taylor<\/a>, Filipe Albuquerque<\/a> and Will Stevens<\/a> rounded out the top six.<\/p>\n 2025 Petit Le Mans LMP2 results<\/p>\n LMP2 honours went to the #11 TDS Racing ORECA-Gibson 07 shared by Steven Thomas<\/a>, Mikkel Jensen<\/a> and Hunter McElrea<\/a>, while PJ Hyett<\/a> and Dane Cameron<\/a> took the class title in their AO Racing ORECA.<\/p>\n 2025 Petit Le Mans GTD Pro results #40 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac V- Series.R: Jordan Taylor, Louis Deletraz, Norman Nato, #1 Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3 EVO: Madison Snow, Neil Verhagen, Connor De Phillippi<\/p>\n Photo by: Michael L.
