Salisbury ABC fighter Odel Kamara was a member of the GB Boxing squad that won a medal at the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool last month\"OdelOdel Kamara in action at the World Boxing Championships<\/p>\n

Odel Kamara wants to finish the year on a high by winning a gold medal at the upcoming World Boxing Cup in India. Kamara claimed a bronze medal at the inaugural World Boxing Championships<\/a> that took place at the M&S Bank Arena<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n

Part of Great Britain\u2019s Olympic programme, the Salisbury ABC man bowed out of the competition after being beaten in the semi-finals by Kazakhstan’s Torekhan Sabyrkhan<\/a>. The 21-year-old had been flawless on his way to the final four, but he was beaten 4-1 on the cards in his 70kg showdown.<\/p>\n

But despite suffering heartbreak on home soil, Kamara believes he has shown he belongs at the top level and now wants to end a memorable 2025 by returning from India with a gold medal.<\/p>\n

“I would describe my 2025 season as extremely successful – I was able to join an elite group of just 14 British men who have medalled at the World Championships, and I proved that I belong at the top,” he said.<\/p>\n

“It doesn\u2019t get any better than that. With every fight, I\u2019ve evolved and adapted, improving my style tenfold.<\/p>\n

“I can\u2019t wait to keep showing everyone a better version of myself every time I step into the ring.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe level of the events has been unbelievable – the time and effort that go into organising them shouldn\u2019t go unnoticed.<\/p>\n
