We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.<\/p>\n<p>Your support makes all the difference.Read more<\/p>\n<p>TV star Ross King has been eliminated from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/strictly-come-dancing\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Strictly Come Dancing<\/a>, becoming the second contestant to leave the show. <\/p>\n<p>The Scottish presenter and his professional partner, Jowita Przystal, exited the competition after a tense dance-off against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/&lt;a%20href=\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Eastenders <\/a>actor <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/tv\/news\/strictl-balvinder-sopal-2025-ross-king-b2844019.html\">Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon<\/a> during Sunday night\u2019s (12 October) results show. <\/p>\n<p>Both couples performed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/tv\/news\/strictly-come-dancing-live-updates-week-three-bbc-b2843230.html\" title=\"Strictly Come Dancing week three: Lewis Cope lands first 10 of the series in action-packed Movie Week\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">their Movie Week routines from Saturday (11 October)<\/a> once more, with King and Przystal dancing the Paso Doble to the theme tune from Thunderbirds Are Go. Sopal and Caillon danced a foxtrot to \u201cThe Way You Look Tonight\u201d from the film Swing Time. <\/p>\n<p>Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke all voted to save Balvinder and Caillon. Head judge <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/shirley-ballas\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shirley Ballas<\/a> said that she would have made the same decision. <\/p>\n<p>Speaking about his time on the programme, King said: \u201cI have loved every single minute of it. I would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported us, all the people who voted \u2013 they\u2019ve been amazing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to thank everyone here in this room, backstage, the judges, the crew \u2013 every single person here has made me so, so welcome.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about Przystal, he said: \u201cI want to thank a very special lady who has been with me through it all and has been absolutely everything: she\u2019s been a mentor, teacher, carer. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI could not have wished for a better partner, and I could not have wished to be on a better show. He was accompanied by professional dancers Nancy Xu and Kai Widdrington. <\/p>\n<p>As was announced earlier this week, Neighbours actor Stefan Dennis did not perform on Saturday due to illness. In line with the show\u2019s rules, he and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/dianne-buswell\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dianne Buswell<\/a> will automatically go through to the next stage of the competition. <\/p>\n<p>Writing on Instagram, Dennis said that he was \u201cso sorry\u201d to miss the episode but expected to be back next week with a \u201crip roaring dance\u201d.
