{"id":209972,"date":"2025-10-13T10:38:19","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T10:38:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/209972\/"},"modified":"2025-10-13T10:38:19","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T10:38:19","slug":"universal-pension-authority-announces-up-to-11-61-profit-for-fy25","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/209972\/","title":{"rendered":"Universal Pension Authority announces up to 11.61% profit for FY25"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"rtejustify\">The National Pension Authority has decided to offer profits ranging from 11.10% to 11.61% on deposits made under its various Universal Pension Scheme for the 2024\u201325 fiscal year, according to sources at the authority.<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">The source said that the funds deposited by subscribers are invested in different financial instruments, including government bonds, treasury bills, and fixed deposit receipts (FDRs).<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">The profit earned from these investments is shared among depositors at the end of the fiscal year.<\/p>\n<p>        <a style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #2b4949; border-bottom: 1px solid #ccc; font-size: 18px;\" href=\"https:\/\/news.google.com\/publications\/CAAqBwgKMIivlQsw2ZKrAw?ceid=US:en&amp;oc=3\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n          <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tbsnews.net\/sites\/all\/themes\/sloth\/images\/google_news.svg\" alt=\"The Business Standard Google News\" style=\"display: inline-block; margin-right: 15px; margin-bottom: 10px; height: 30px;\"\/><br \/>\n            Keep updated, follow The Business Standard&#8217;s Google news channel<br \/>\n          <\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">This means that a person who deposited Tk100 under the scheme in the previous financial year will see their balance rise to between Tk111.10 and Tk111.61 by the end of FY2024\u201325.<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">The scheme runs on a compound interest system, meaning the profit for the current fiscal year will then be calculated on this updated amount.<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">An official of the Pension Authority said that the profit rate depends on the duration of an individual&#8217;s deposits.<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">As of June 30, 2025, the meeting apprised a total of 373,987 contributors deposited Tk187.97 crore, including the opening balance from FY2023\u201324, reports UNB.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">The Board approved the distribution of profits among contributors based on their respective investment periods.
