\n\tDearest gentle reader, a new season of Bridgerton<\/a> is forthcoming.<\/p>\n

\n\tNetflix<\/a> revealed Monday that Season 4 will premiere with four episodes on January 29, 2026. An additional four episodes will follow on February 26. In addition to the premiere dates, a teaser trailer also gives audiences a tantalizing glimpse at Luke Thompson<\/a>\u2018s Benedict encountering his love interest Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWith each passing season, one is known to experience plenty of ups and downs,\u201d Lady Whistledown muses in the teaser. \u201cSo then we must ask ourselves, do we rise to the occasion? As always, time and this author will tell.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe fourth season of\u00a0Shonda Rhimes<\/a>\u2018\u00a0Bridgerton\u00a0turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict. Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down \u2014 until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother\u2019s masquerade ball.<\/p>\n

\n\tThat \u201cLady in Silver\u201d is Sophie. In the novel, she is the daughter of an earl and one of his maids. Though she was brought up in his house out of a sense of responsibility, he never claimed her as his kin and allowed her to suffer quite a troubling upbringing at the hands of her stepmother and stepsisters.<\/p>\n

\n\tThough Benedict\u2019s search for a love match is the subject of the third novel, the TV series made a change in the order with Season 3 taking on the fourth book instead,\u00a0Romancing Mister Bridgerton, which spotlights the romance between Colin Bridgerton, played by Luke Newton, and Penelope Featherington, played by Nicola Coughlan.<\/p>\n

\n\tNewton and Coughlan are expected to return as series regulars for Season 4 along with Jonathan Bailey (Anthony Bridgerton), Victor Alli (Lord John Stirling), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), Julie Andrews (Lady Whistledown), Lorraine Ashbourne (Mrs. Varley), Masali Baduza (Michaela Stirling), Hannah Dodd (Francesca Stirling), Daniel Francis (Lord Marcus Anderson), Ruth Gemmell (Violet Bridgerton), Florence Hunt (Hyacinth Bridgerton), Martins Imhangbe (Will Mondrich), Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton), Luke Newton (Colin Bridgerton), Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), Will Tilston (Gregory Bridgerton), Polly Walker (Portia Featherington), Emma Naomi (Alice Mondrich), Hugh Sachs (Brimsley).<\/p>\n
