LAS CRUCES, N.M. \u2013 The San Diego State women\u2019s golf team finished an impressive first round at New Mexico State\u2019s Golf Iconic Classic Monday. The Aztecs shot a season-low six-under-par 282 and had all five golfers shoot an even par or better, including three who shot career-low rounds. After 18 holes, the Aztecs are in second place (out of 19 schools).<\/p>\n
Kylie Phi<\/a> led the Aztecs with a career-best four-under-par 68, which put her in a tie for fourth place. She had five birdies and only one bogey.<\/p>\n Emma Delwes<\/a> and Nikki Kato<\/a> also had career-low rounds with one-under-par 71s. They each had four birdies and Delwes beat her previous best score with two strokes while Kato beat her career-best by one. They are both tied for 24th.<\/p>\n Stephanie Barbaglia<\/a> and Ema Narita<\/a> each fired even par 72s and are tied for 32nd place.
